Mayflower began with a simple idea in 2019 when Laura, a photography student at Edith Cowan University, joined forces with her mother Tamar, who had spent years creating beautiful floral arrangements. Her mum, a former owner of Flowers on Prince in Busselton, had a lifetime of experience working with flowers, and Laura had developed a passion for photography. Together, they envisioned a wedding business that combined their talents into one seamless package — stunning florals, and beautiful photography.
However, over the years, the business evolved. After five years of success, Tamar decided to step away from the business, and Laura took the opportunity to expand her role. Along the way, Laura's deep interest in flowers blossomed into a new passion, leading her to train as a florist. With her artistic background and newfound obsession with floristry, Laura fully embraced the world of flowers, combining her photography, art, and floral design into a holistic approach to weddings that reflects her unique style and creative vision.
Today, Mayflower continues to grow and evolve, with Laura at the helm, offering bespoke wedding florals with artistic vision that is rooted in a love for all things botanical.
